Unity Update v1.90 - Baked Prefab



Hi everyone!

CC2D v1.90 for Unity is now live!
Here's the full changelog of version 1.90

  • Added save to baked prefab option
  • Added runtime bake
  • Ears are now in pair (left and right)
  • Fixed: Body slider conflict with atlas texture
  • Fixed: Body slider head and ears

Ears

Ears are now in pairs. Especially visible with the longer/elf ears (this is also available on the Standalone version 1.90).


Baked Prefab

A new save option is now available in version 1.90


This option will save the textures of your character and bake the color into the texture. And also it will generate a Unity Atlas and combine the sprites into one. This will significantly reduce drawcall.



Standard example character: 24 batches Baked example character: 1 batch

Please keep in mind, saving to baked prefab means you can't modify the character at runtime. 

There is, however, a separate feature for baking the character at runtime.
